Cancel Culture – are you a RACIST?

In January 2021, in an excess of radical left Cancel Culture, the San Francisco School Board voted to rename 44 public schools and strike out names of famous Americans including the founding fathers George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.    [Source:  https://edition.cnn.com/2021/01/27/us/san-francisco-school-name-changes-trnd/index.html ]

The School Names Advisory Committee said it would change the names of schools that are named for:

• Anyone directly involved in the colonization of people;
• Slave owners or participants in enslavement;
• Perpetrators of genocide or slavery;
• Those who exploit workers or people;
• Those who directly oppressed or abused women, children, gay, lesbian or transgender people;
• Those connected to any human rights or environmental abuses;
• Known racists or white supremacists.

Wow.  The first point would wipe from history all imperialists (like Cecil Rhodes), all of the Australian states’ first governors, and many more.  

The fourth point – those who exploit people – should surely pick up Karl Marx, one of the worst jailers and murderers of mankind? 

The last point would certainly exclude Margaret Sanger, eugenicist and founder of Planned Parenthood (so loved by pro-abortion US Democrats).  Oh, and President Woodrow Wilson, after World War I the chief proponent and founder of The League of Nations – alas, another eugenicist and racist.

The same Cancel Culture happened in August 2022 in Hobart, where the City Council voted to tear down a statue of William Crowther, Premier of Tasmania in 1878-79.   Nine years before he became Premier, in 1869 he removed the skull of Aboriginal man William Lanne – believed to be the last full-blood Aboriginal man – and sent it to London for “scientific” purposes.  Certainly very politically incorrect by today’s values, but those were very different times from now – 140 years ago – and most of world history would be regarded by today’s “woke” as unacceptable today.  

A report to Hobart City Council claimed that too many white men were memorialized in the city and that there would be more ‘removals’.   Who does the Council think actually made history?  What is gained by the current action?

In the United States, there has been a vociferous movement by rabid leftists to tear down statues to Confederate leaders such as Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis. But non-Confederate statues are also targeted. For example, a statue of George Washington was vandalized and torn down in Portland, Oregon; a statue of abolitionist Matthias Baldwin was defaced in Philadelphia; and a statue of African American abolitionist Frederick Douglass was destroyed in Rochester, N.Y. Monuments to members of the Union army have been victimized, including statues of President Ulysses S. Grant in San Francisco, Admiral David Farragut in Washington, D.C., and abolitionist Hans Christian Heg in Madison, Wisconsin. A monument to the Union’s 54th Massachusetts Regiment — which consisted of all-black volunteer soldiers — was defaced in Boston!

Another instance of Cancel Culture is being seen in Ukraine, where all traces of Russian culture are being expunged by the Zelensky regime. The process was started by previous president Poroshenko – this despite the fact that Russian is the first language of a large part of the population, and most of that part looks to Russia culturally.

And ah – that word RACIST

The word “racist” has for a long time been the single most effective fear-word in the leftist arsenal.  For decades, leftists have successfully used it in the political arena to slander traditionalists, shut down debate, and leave opponents running for cover.  They have caused even more damage by using it to brainwash impressionable children and young college students, and to teach people to hate their nation, their cultural traditions, and worst of all, themselves.

Actually, it is a wrong response by people hit with this “racist” abuse to be apologetic and say “I’m not a racist.” The correct response is to throw the abuse back at the perpetrators – call THEM out as scumbags with no real argument so they have to rely on personal abuse.

The word takes its notorious popularity from Leon Trotsky’s work The History of the Russian Revolution, published in 1930, where he applies it to traditionalist Slavs who valued greatly their native culture and way of life and wanted to protect it.   Trotsky was one of the principal architects of the 74-year communist nightmare, the founder and first leader of the infamous Red Army. 

Trotsky was Jewish and had no love for the Slavic Russians.  He despised traditionalist Slavs who valued greatly their native culture and way of life, and wanted to protect it.  He saw them and others like them as an impediment to his internationalist communist plans for the world.   To him, Slavophiles, i.e. Slavs that committed the “crime” of loving their own people and trying to protect their traditional ways, were simply backward, and others like them were simply “racists” and calls them that in his book.

Trotsky popularized a word that would empower literally the most rotten, traitorous weasels within the West to redefine those loyal to their people, their cultural traditions and way of life as the worst evil, and to send the government, the education system, and the mass media on a hysterical crusade to make themselves and everyone else actually believe it.  Revisionist history was fabricated by more of the same rotten weasels falsely portraying the white man as the sole perpetrator of slavery and genocide in the world.

As the writer says above, refuse to be defensive, and call the scumbags who push this stuff OUT!

Racial double standards have been created (at the expense of whites, of course), with legislation of “racism” and “hate speech” offences in Europe (only targeting the indigenous population, of course).  The Australian and Canadian governments have implemented multiculturalism as official state policy, at the expense of the pre-existing majority cultures.  And the huge wave of third-world immigration into the West, supported by all Western governments, is radically changing the makeup and culture of those countries, and is threatening their original populations with becoming a minority in their own countries within just a few decades – being REPLACED in their own homelands.  All thanks to that rotten Communist, Trotsky.

“Racist” is an all-purpose tool for demonizing people you don’t like.  China’s President Xi and his Embassy minions spent much of 2021 and 2022 demonizing Australia as “racist,” because the Morrison government called for an international inquiry into the origins of the Covid-19 virus.  Xi’s Chinese Communist Party government is itself extremely pro-Han racist within China.
